HOW TO SHOP THE NURSERY THIS MAY

  • Walk-In Shopping Hours: Saturdays, May 4 & 11, from 10 AM to 4 PM and Tuesdays, May 7 & 21 from 4 PM to Dusk

Wait until you see the 2024 plant selection at the Growing Value Edible Nursery! We carry a wide variety of edible perennial trees, shrubs, bushes, and berries, along with complimentary plantings for your food forests and guilds, such as flowers to attract pollinators and perennial ground covers. This rare selection has been curated over the years to include the varieties and species that perform well in our local bio-region and includes many edibles that are hard to find at traditional nurseries and garden centers.

  • Permaculture Design Certifications:

    • Graduated 200 + Certified Designers in Cincinnati and our Region

    • Every year since 2008 we have held our Annual PDC's

    • Currently 20 courses hosted

    • 10+ Teachers

    • Hosted at over 20 sites demonstrating Permaculture around the Cincinnati Area with everything from off grid living, food forests & Permaculture Gardens and farms, Keyline Design, Regenerative Livestock Management, School Gardens, Public Forage Gardens

    • Our students have gone on to become National Best Selling Authors on the subject, started Million Dollar companies in Sustainable Technologies, Run Non-Profits and organizations dedicated to social and ecological justice, started school and community gardens, started their own design consultancies or just go to live sustainably on or off the grid turning their ecological footprint from a negative to a positive!

  • Countless Weekend Workshops on subjects ranging from Food Forests to Rocket Mass Heaters

  • International Development Training for Development Workers in Morocco

  • Organized a 9 day training in Earthship/Tiny house construction

  • Supported and Headed up the development of numerous Community Forage Gardens, Community Orchards, Community and School Gardens

  • Created and Developed the City's first Permaculture based nursery, Growing Value, supplying the City with sources of Hardy Perennial Edibles.
